*Age: kitten ~7 months as of 03-26-2009* * * * * *Taj is a loving playful kitty. He is as happy chasing an old pants string, jumping, down and around as he is just lying in your lap purring away. When he chases the string, he loves to drag it away or under the bed once he does catch it. He has a very strong jaw grip, so usually best to wait a few seconds for him to drop his prize rather than risking yanking his teeth out. Taj was an owner turn into shelter. He has a profile at the shelter from his previous owner if you wish to go there to check the details provided. When I first received him, he was recovering from a kitty cold and was not interested in eating. I brought him into my foster bedroom, set it up, then petted and played with him. Within 10 minutes he went straight for the kitten food I had set out and wolfed it down. So I didn't have to syringe feed him at all. He just needs someone to love, cuddle, and interact with him. He can be a bit shy. When a guest showed up, he initially ran away and hid, but after about 20 minutes was back in the room getting to know my guest. When I took him to the shelter for a day, he stayed in the corner of the cage still a bit shy. I will take him to the shelter regularily to try to get him adopted, so you may see him there on a Wed, Thursday, or Saturday. Or you can decide you desperately want to rescue him from the stress of being at the shelter and contact me to arrange a meeting with him. I use wheat based litter, and he took to it immediately.
