Tabby - Orange - Medium - Adult - Male - Cat - October Sky

* * *Age: Adult ~8 years old* * * *October Sky was a stray. He was obviously well fed, so it is unknown if he became lost and his owners either gave up or just didn't bother to look for him, or if he was just abandoned. October is a very loving cat. I don't think he is completely versed in cat social behavior as he still seems to annoy one of my own cats. He gets along with all my cats in terms of being comfortable around them showing no agression whatsoever. He seems to be trying to learn to fit in though. One of my own cats likes to lie on top of me sometimes when I sleep. Some days after his arrival, I woke up feeling a heavy weight. He had decided to join my one cat so that both were on top of me. Currently he seems to prefer to sleep at the end of the bed on the floor, or on a spare pillow at the head of the bed. Lately with the oncoming of spring, my cats have started chasing each other in their play. A couple of times October tried to join them, but because one my cats hasn't fully adjusted to him yet, my cat responds with some hissing. October really wants to become a close part of the family, and plays very well with one of the much older foster kittens in the household. Other times many of the cats can all be in the same room laying around peacefully. October loves to be held and have his head, neck, and back scratched. He does seem to be a bit touchy about having his back legs touched. When I do pet them, he gets up and jumps off my lap. He did growl a little when forced to take his twice a day benedryl pill, but that is it. He is shy and has run away when guests show up. It takes some effort to coax him back, but treats (see special needs below) do work If he is held when he is spooked, he will push hard to get away so just keep in mind that it is best just to give him space and freedom to adjust to any unexpected incidents that might spook him.
