* { font:inherit; } Please contact Libby (libby4dogs@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  Three words describe Milo:  “Giant Teddy Bear.”  Milo is a large, lovable, intelligent dog whose main driver is to please his owner.  Milo is housebroken, a year-and-a-half old, and weighs about 85 pounds.  Indicative of the German Shepherd breed, Milo loves to be challenged and thrives best when doing activities that challenge his mind.  Some of Milo’s favorite activities include going for walks, learning and reinforcing proper leash etiquette, and learning new commands.  For example, Milo has recently learned the sit, down, stay, down stay, and stand stay commands.  After a hard day of walking, playing, and reinforcing his learned commands; Milo’s favorite activity is lying next to his owner while chewing on a bone or chew toy.  Bones and toys occupy Milo for hours. Milo likes most dogs and people.  Milo is also very curious – as with most young, intelligent dogs.  Milo has a moderate energy level and is ready to relax after a 20-30 minute walk, although he enjoys walking and jogging for longer distances too which makes Milo a great jogging buddy.  Although Milo is very loving and intelligent, he is also a fairly young dog.  As such, Milo is still learning his boundaries.  Milo often gets excited when he sees small animals such as squirrels or birds.  Even though Milo gets excited when seeing these animals, he still very much wants to please you and focus on you so it is easy to redirect his attention back to you while walking.  Milo also sometimes jumps when he gets really excited.  Even though Milo sometimes jumps, he is learning to sit when he gets excited. Overall, Milo is a sweet dog with a happy-go-lucky attitude.  Because Milo truly aims to please, he will make anyone that adopts him extremely happy that they did. We will NOT place Max in a home with young children... and older children MUST be familiar to being around large dogs.
