Quarterhorse - Large - Senior - Female - Horse - Lexus
Description
Lexus came to us from Montgomery County at the end of May 2009 with Kadillac and ranked at a Body Condition Score of 1.5 out of 9, had rainrot, and severely overgrown hooves with front shoes half falling off and twisted. She made a smooth, speedy recovery and is now ready for a new home. She is well-behaved within the herd and can be with mares or geldings. Lexus has very strong, solid feet, so she easily goes barefoot. She ties for feed and is good for the vet, farrier, and grooming. She requires an advanced beginner handler. We just evaluated her under saddle and found that she would be suitable for an advanced beginner rider. She knows her aids well and has great brakes, but she is a little rusty at the canter. She seems to know neck-reining to a degree, so she either has limited Western training or is simply rusty to the discipline. She was evaluated on the trail and off-site and was perfect for both. Days End Farm Horse Rescue does not sell horses. We do ask for an adoption donation to help defray the costs of rehabilitating future horses. We adopt to the entire State of Maryland and 100 miles from Days End Farm into the states of VA, DE, PA. We do not have the funds or manpower to do this properly in other areas. Please visit our adoptions page for more information on all our currently available animals and also for any other information about our organization ((http://www.defhr.org/horses/horses.htm)
